Superplus Games, a Helsinki, Finland, startup developing mobile games, announced the completion of a $4.7 million capital investment round.

The funding was led by Makers Fund and included financial participation from Sisu Games Ventures and Business Finland.

Superplus Games was founded in 2015 by a group of ex-Rovio developers led by CEO Kalle Jyly and Aarni Linnakangas and interested to develop casual multiplayer games for mobile. The studio is currently working on Hills of Steel 2, the upcoming sequel to the studio's 2017 physics-based tank battler (a title with over 39 million downloads) and also on a hero-based battle royale called Brawls of Steel, expected to launch by the end of 2020.
