Plum Guide, a London, UK-based operator of an online marketplace for vacation homes, announced compleing a $9 million funding round.

The money was raised from investors led by Beringea, with participation from existing investors Talis Capital, Hearst Ventures and Latitude.

Proceeds will be used for growing the business.

The company, which is also offering its community of hosts, guests and fans a chance to participate in this round via a crowdfunding campaign with Crowdcube, intends to use the funds to accelerate its growth.

Plum Guide, founded in 2015 by Alex Lee, Arif Meharali, Imran Arshed, Will Smith and CEO Doron Meyassed, developed a recommended homestay marketplace, helping users find the best homes in each market through a combination of data, technology and expert “home critics. The company says it features properties in over 500 destinations across 29 countries.
