Tradedoubler buys Metapic, a Gothenburg-based social media agency.

Tradedoubler, a Stockholm, Sweden-based digital marketing company announced the acquisition of Metapic, a Gotheburg, Sweden-based company managing a product recomendations platform.

The financial details of the transaction remain undisclosed.

Metapic, led by CEO Filip Askviken, has developed a platform for product recommendations within premium lifestyle media. The platform has attracted 20 000 users, with a reach of 2 million unique visitors per week in Sweden, Norway and Denmark.

Tradedoubler, led by CEO Matthias Stadelmeyer, was founded in 1999 by Felix Hagnö and Martin Lorentzon and listed on the Stockholm Stock Exchange in 2005. The company provides performance marketing services locally, in Scandinavia, and internationally.
