Travis, a Bergen, Norway-based startup working for the development of a software solution that scans receipts, analyzes expenses and generates financial reports, closed in a NOK 3M ($330k) capital investment round.

The money was provided by existing investors Tripod Capital Collective. The company's board of directors is chaired by Fredrik Holst and includes Hilde Støle Pettersen, Helge Hannisdal and Harald Mowinckel Troye.

Travis, founded at the end of 2016 by CEO Øyvind Marthinussen and Sanna Lutsoja, developed an "intelligent travel assistant" that automates travel billing and outlays using Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology, combined with machine learning. The solution can be used by both private and corporate customers, regardless of accounting system, credit card and the size of the company.
