Treamer announced raising €1.5 million in strategic funding from Alma Media.
Treamer, a Helsinki, Finland-based company providing on-demand staffing services, announced that it entered into an investment agreement of raising the capital with €1.5 million ($1.8M).
The money was raised from the local media company from Finland Alma Media and will be used to accelerate the growth of Treamer's business both in Finland and in new target markets. The investment was made by Alma Career, which specializes in recruitment businesses and is part of the Alma Media Group.
At the same time, Treamer has also been selected for Business Finland's Young Innovative Companies program. Through the program, the most promising startups in Finland will receive a maximum of EUR 1.25 million non-dilutive funding for internationalization.
Treamer, founded in 2015 by Peter Sazonov (CEO), Maija Itkonen, Matias Mäkitalo and Miikka Mäkitalo, built an on-demand staffing platform used by some 40k users to connect with businesses looking for casual labour. The company has a 2019 turnover of €1.7 million, with the largest customers including City of Helsinki, Palmia, Lassila & Tikanoja and Heinon Tukku.
Prior to this deal, Treamer raised money via Invesdor in 2018.
