TripCreator adds $2M more in funding, focuses solely on the B2B market.
TripCreator, a Reykjavík, Iceland company providing trip planning solutions, announced raising $2M in a new equity investment round. The money comes from a group of private angel investors in its home market and adds to a total of almost $5 million in investment since February 2013.
TripCreator, founded in 2013 by Hilmar Halldórsson, Baldvin Haraldsson and Ólafur Hilmarsson, offers travel agencies and airlines a solution to assist their customers in planning their trips. This includes finding and arranging accommodation, transportation, tours and activities and points of interests into a complete itinerary. The B2B TripCreator allows users to build itineraries, with maps, calendars and timelines built in.
The company's intentions are to focusing solely on a B2B model rather than trying to have a dual play that includes also the consumer-facing platform. TripCreator already works with IcelandAir, which is the first carrier to integrate the TripCreator white label platform.
