Uniti secured $1.8M part of a larger fund raising effort.
Uniti, a Lund, Sweden-based company manufacturing an electric city car, completed a £1,411,980 ($1.8M) capital investment round. The backing was supported by 2211 investors which acquired 1.43% shares in the company via an equity crowdfunding campaign on Crowdcube.
The campaign is part of a wider company effort to raise £30,000,000.
Uniti, founded in 2016 by CEO Lewis Horne, is an automotive startup working on the development of a high tech electric city car. The company has booked around 3,000 pre-orders for their first model, estimated to be delivered in 2020. The unit price starts from 22,000 euros ($25k). Uniti has production facilities based in Lund, Sweden, as well as in Silverstone, UK.
Prior to this round, Uniti raised $1.3M via Fundedbyme in 2016.
