Verdane acquires EMG from Novax.

EMG, a Stockholm, Sweden-based content and service developer in the education industry, announced getting into an agreement for being acquired by Verdane and its founders.

The deal, which has the financial details undisclosed, was made by Verdane and three of EMG's founders: Fredrik Söderlindh, Fredrik Högemark and Mattias Säker, who bought out the existing investor Novax.

EMG (Educations Media Group), founded in 2001 and led by CEO Fredrik Söderlindh, built and operates 20 digital platforms for education search in 10 different countries, including assets such as Studentum.se and Educations.com. The platforms provide access to some 3000 partners providing educational services to private individuals and other companies interested in finding the right education. In 2018, EMG employed about 170 employees, was profitable and had sales of SEK 206M ($22M).

Following the transaction, EMG aims to increase its activity and presence in the three major markets in France, Germany and the UK.
