Verse Technologies secured €7M in a fresh capital round.

Verse Technologies, a Barcelona, Spain-based company operating a business based on a global mobila payments platform, announced securing an additional capital investment round totalling EUR 7 milliion ($8M).

The deal was backed by a range of investors from Spain and international, angels and institutional, including Greycroft Partners, Expon Capital, Nikesh Arora, Alan Patricof, Martin Varsavsky, David Stern, and Charlie Songhurst.

The investment was announced in conjunction with the company's getting an official licence from the Bank of Lithuania (Lietuvos Banka), which authorizes it to operate not only in Lithuania, but throughout the European Economic Area.

Verse Technologies, founded in 2016 and led by Bernardo Hernández, operates a mobile payment processing platform. Consumers have access to it via a mobile app that allows them to share payments easily, instantly and with no hidden fees.
