VisioPharm completes a $15M round of growth capital.

VisioPharm, a Hørsholm, Denmark-based company providing software services for medical image analysis, announced securing DKK 95M ($15M) in capital investment.

The money will be used to further the international growth of the company and was provided by a range of new and existing investors, including NorthCap (DKK 15M), ATP (DKK 45M), Vækstfonden (DKK 20M) and C. L. Davids Fond og Samling (DKK 15M).

VisioPharm, founded in 2001 by Michael Grunkin (CEO) and Johan Doré Hansen (CTO), develops software for image analysis of cells for use in cancer diagnostics. Customers are primarily hospitals and major pharmaceutical companies which generate revenue of approx. DKK 60M ($9.5M) from sales of software, which today is the core product, and from resale of hardware such as scanners.
