Wire closed a $21 million Series B funding round led by VC firm UVC Partners.
Wire, a Berlin, Germany-based software developer of an integrated B2B communication platform, announced the completion of a $21 million Series B funding round.
The money was raised from investors led by UVC Partners, joined byexisting investors Iconical, Morpheus Ventures, Elysium Venture Capital and One Way Ventures.
Funding supports further investment in the hiring of more people and product development.
Wire, founded in 2012 in Zug by Alan Duric, Janus Friis, Jonathan Christensen and Priidu Zilmer and led by CEO Morten Brøgger, developed a platform that offers messenger, voice, video, conference calls, file-sharing and external collaboration, built upon an infrastructure of industry-leading end-to-end encryption to ensure that all data that passes through it remains secure and private.
Wire works with enterprises and governments looking to protect their documents, and secure communications across teams, clients and partners - it says it has currently 1,800 government and enterprise customers worldwide.
