Yonder in a £20 million seed round co-led by LocalGlobe and Northzone.
Yonder, a London, UK-based startup building a financial service operation based on a credit card and rewards program, announced a £20 million ($26 million) seed funding round.
The money was raised from investors co-led by Northzone and LocalGlobe, joined by Seedcamp and multiple angel invetors, including Sharmadean Reid, Marshmallow founders Oliver Kent-Braham, and Alex Kent-Braham, and Rio Ferdinand.
The proceeds will be used for hiring more people and build the company's selection offer of rewards and features.
Yonder, founded in 2020 by Theso Jivajirajah, Harry Jell, and CEO Tim Chong, sells financial services via a credit card and rewards program that provide members with access to exclusive drinking, dining and leisure experiences, plus the ability to spend abroad with zero FX fees. The company says it partnered with The Gladwin Brothers and Kricket restaurants and that it secured a FCA authorisation.
Yonder previously raised around $8 million, with a pre-seed deal announced in 2021.
