bex in a funding round backed by a family office from Germany

bex technologies, a Stuttgart, Germany-based B2B marketplace for construction materials, announced that it completed a financing round.

The money was raised from a German family office based in Munich whose name was not disclosed.

bex, founded in 2019 by ex-Würth employees Lennart A. Paul and Johannes Keller, is developing a B2B logistics platform for the building trade and its suppliers.

With bex, contractors save valuable working time by delivering the material they need to the construction site at short notice via bex. The construction companies can fall back on all of their proven suppliers. With several hundred vehicles on the platform, bex also complements and expands the existing logistics solutions from suppliers on the last mile. With bex, retailers in metropolitan areas can offer services such as 2-hour express delivery as standard.

Bex is now active in five German metropolitan areas, including Stuttgart, Munich and the Rhine-Main area. Customers include companies such as Züblin, Raab Karcher, Hornbach and Boels. In 2020 the young company grew by over 1,500%.
