Qasa, a Stockholm, Sweden-based company operating a digital platform for classified ads for the real estate, announced that it was acquired by Blocket.
Blocket, also based in Stockholm, and owned by Norwegian media group Schibsted, provides a similar service on a generalist level.
Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. Schibsted Growth, part of Schibsted's group, had already made an investment commitment in Qasa in 2018.
Qasa, founded in 2014 by CEO Ludvig Persson Lejon and Mattia Tosti, developed a marketplace that makes it easy to find real estate rentals in Sweden. In 2017 the company lost money at a turnover a little higher than SEK 5M ($540k).
The company raised outside risk capital in several rounds and was backed by local investors including Bo Mattsson, Charlotte Strömberg, Claes Dinkelspiel, Lars Lindgren, and DHS Venture Partners.
