Cajo Technologies raised EUR 1.75 million in funding from VNT Management and Innovestor Ventures.

Cajo Technologies, a Kempele, Finland-based company which develops and sells industrial laser marking solutions, announced that it raised EUR 1.75M ($2M) in capital investment.

The money was provided by existing investors VNT Management and Innovestor Ventures.

Cajo Technologies, founded in 2011 and led by CEO Niko Karsikka, developed a laser technology that deals with topography of surfaces with laser beam and provides highly durable markings without additional or coloring agents. The method is suitable, for example, for metals, polymers and coated materials. In most cases, the technology is used, for example, to make labels and traceability markings, for example, the authenticity of car spare parts.

The company has 23 employees and works with customers including the metal industry, cable and wire industry, and the vehicle and pharmaceutical industries, and which brought in a turnover of EUR 2.1 million in 2016.
