Care to Translate in a SEK 25 million capital raise backed by Provider Investment.
Care to Translate, a Stockholm, Sweden-based company providing a digital healthcare translator, announced securing fresh capital in the company in a round closed at SEK 25 million ($2.8M).
The money was raised from investors from Sweden led by Provider Investment, and joined by Petter von Heidenstam and Lina Tham Von Heidenstam via Forget Me Not Investment, Johannes Lien (Summa Equity), Sofia Bertling and Eva Engelbert. Existing shareholders Sophia Bendz, Boel Rydenå Swartling, Per Båtelson, Claes Dinkelspiel, and Christian Ehrhardt also contributed with money to the round.
Care to Translate, founded in 2018 and led by CEO Linus Kulläng, Annie Backman and Martin Schalling, develops digital translation tools for patients and healthcare professionals in response to the great lack of interpreters and communication tools in healthcare today. The tools are available via a mobile app, available in 40 languages with roughly 500,000 users in 200 countries. The service is adapted to a care context and is medically verified.
Prior to this round, Care to Translate secured a total of roughly $1 million in 2020 and in 2019.
