Dark Space secured €4.4 million pre-seed from Eurazeo, Frst and Kima Ventures.
Dark, a Paris, France-based space technology startup, announced completing a pre-seed funding round closed at €4.4 million ($5.2M).
The money was raised locally from France, from investors including Eurazeo, Frst and Kima Ventures.
Dark, founded in 2021 by Clyde Laheyne and Guillaume Orvain, two engineers in the Aerospace Defense industry, is working for the development of a reusable rocket capable of being operated from airports, via a proximity, responsive and adaptable space launcher triggered from specially equipped aircraft. The company claims to overcome the constraints weighing on current systems to offer a solution that is both versatile in terms of use and the addressable market, ultra-flexible in terms of shipping and delivery locations and reliable. in terms of timing.
