Dohop secures €3M in strategic investment made by EasyJet.
Dohop, a Reykjavik, Iceland-based compay managing a meta-search engine for the travel industry, announced in the local media securing a strategic investment totalling $3.6M.
The money comes from EasyJet in the form of an convertible bond for a 15% stake in the company. The funding round also includes existing investors.
Dohop was launched in 2004, is led by CEO David Gunnarsson and currently employs 35 people. The company started working with easyjet in 2017 when the airline implemented Gatwick Airport’s GatwickConnects product,in cooperation with other airlines and powered by Dohop.
Prior to this deal the company raised $4M at the beginning of 2014 in an investment round including Norwegian angel investor and founder of Opera Software, Jon von Tetzchner.
