Donna Technologies, a Malmö, Sweden-based developer of legal software solutions, announced that it has raised $2.5 million in seed funding.

The investment round was led by the German VC firm Point Nine Capital and undisclosed angel investors.

Donna Technologies, founded in 201 by CEO Rik Nauta and Anton Gerdes, built an AI-powered assistant for lawyers, namely a Microsoft Word add-in that spots issues and alerts users by providing helpful suggestions to typical proof-reading errors in legal text.

Prior to this round, Donna raised pre-seed capital from local angel investors from Sweden and Denmark and was also part of law firm Mishcon de Reya’s, incubator for legal tech startups and under the mentorship of the Google Cloud for Startups program.
