Encore raised $3 million in a seed funding round led by Crane Venture Partners.
Encore, a Stockholm, Sweden-based software startup building a backend development engine used for an easy configuring of cloud services, announced securing a seed funding round closed at $3 million.
The money was raised from multiple investors, institutionals and angels, led by Crane Venture Partners from London, and joined by Acequia Capital, Essence Venture Capital, Third Kind Venture Capital as well as Bucky Moore, partner at Kleiner Perkins, Nicolas Dessaigne (Algolia) and Mehdi Ghissassi of DeepMind.
Encore, founded in 2020 by Marcus Kohlberg and CEO André Eriksson, developed a platform for rapid development of cloud-based backend applications. The platform removes the need to manually configure, connect and set up these cloud components, enabling developers to spend their time creating innovative products instead of solving the same undifferentiated problems repeatedly. The company has also rolled out Encore Backend Engine based on the open source Encore Go Framework.
