FundingPartner in a NOK 44 million round led by Schibsted Ventures.

FundingPartner, an Oslo, Norway-based company managing a loan crowdfunding platform, raised a new funding round closed at NOK 44 million ($5M).

The money was raised from investors led by Schibsted, joined by DNB, Trond Riiber Knudsen and Svein Harald Øygard. According to local media sources, the deal values the company at NOK 300 million.

FundingPartner, founded in 2016 by Geir Atle Bore, Tor Smedsrud and Marius Borthen, developed an online platform via which they can intermmediate loans, providing consumers with the opportunity to invest in loans to Norwegian companies for 5-20 percent interest. The company previously raised $2.2M from DNB and Schibsted in 2018.
