Garden.io in a $16 million Series A led by 468 Capital and Sorensen Ventures

Garden, a Berlin, Germany-based startup doing software development for a platform for Kubernetes and cloud native testing, announced closing series A at $16 million.

The money was raised from investors co-led by 468 Capital and Sorenson Ventures, joined by existing investors Crowberry Capital, Fly Ventures, and byFounders.

Garden, founded in 2018 by Bas Peters, Jón Eðvald Vignisson  (CEO), Thorarinn Sigurdsson and Eythor Magnusson, aims to make it easy to spin up production-like environments for development, testing, and CI, and to use the same workflows for every stage of the process. The tool helps companies deliver faster to the cloud, using a graph-based framework that automates builds, deployments and tests for every stage of the delivery cycle and enables developers get fast feedback exactly when they need it, and DevOps teams are no longer bogged down with provisioning and managing ad hoc environments. 

Garden previously raised about $5 million, a $3.7 million seed closed in 2020 and €1.1M from investors including System.One, Tiny.vc, as well as angels Renaud Visage, Chad Fowler, Olivier Pomel, David Helgason, Nat Friedman, Hampus Jakobsson, and Thomas Köhl.
