Hangry, a Madrid, Spain-based startup providing a digital advertising solution for taxis, announced securing €1 million ($1.1M) in capital investment

The money was provided by a range of business angels from Spain, including Martín Varsavsky and Félix Ruiz. The company will use the funding to expand to Valencia and Barcelona throughout 2020.

Hangry, founded in 2018 by Wassim Berro and Maurice Karam while studying at IE, developed a software solution that makes it easy for ridesharing passengers to access and buy products via an ad display available in cars.

The company already works with clients including Kellogg's, Mondelez International, Red Bull and L'Oreal  and its service is available in Madrid.

Prior to this investment, Hangry raised a first seed capital investment from Demium Start-ups, Sego Finance, Next Archipelago and Lanzadera.
