Kahoot! added $17 million of additional funding in a round including Datum Invest, Northzone, Creandum and Microsoft Ventures.

Kahoot!, an Oslo, Norway-based company providing a game-based learning platform, announced securing $17M in a fresh investment capital round.

The funding was led by Datum Invest AS together with Northzone, Creandum, Microsoft Ventures and Kahoot! Chairman Eilert Hanoa. The deal values the company at around $100 million and the money will be used to strengthen the company for further growth as the company started providing premium subscription services to all customer segments.

Kahoot, launched in 2013 and led by CEO Åsmund Furuseth, has developed a game platform that is used for education. The platform has more than 70 million users and a library of 51 million educational quizzes.

Pror to this, Kahoot raised a total of $26M, with $10M added in the summer of 2017.
