Kara Connect raises $1.9M in an investment round led by Crowberry Capital

Kara Connect, a Reykjavík, Iceland-based company providing a marketplace for healthservices, announced in a press release that it secured €1.5M ($1.9M) in a capital investment funding round.

The backers were led by Iceland VC company Crowberry Capital and includes local angel investors. The money will be used for expanding the company's business throughout Scandinavia.

Kara Connect, founded in 2014 by CEO Thorbjorg Vigfusdottir, developed a communications platform that allows professionals to easily connect with clients, improving access to professional healthcare and extracurricular educational services. The company has had more than 1000 Icelandic clients complete more than 9000 hours of teletherapy sessions with dozens of specialists that use Kara Connect.
