Mapal Software to raise money from Providence Equity Partners.

Mapal Software, a Madrid, Spain-based softare developer for the restaurante and retail industry, announced securing capital investment from London, UK-based Providence Strategic Growth, the growth equity affiliate of Providence Equity Partners.

The financial details were not disclosed. Mapal’s founding and current management team, led by Jorge Lurueña, will continue overseeing the company’s day-to-day operations.

Mapal Software, founded in 2008 by CEO Jorge Lurueña, created create GIRnet, a management and business intelligence platform used by retails and restuarant businesses. The company works with clients including La Tagliatella, Burger King, Starbucks, KFC, Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, Grupo Areas or Five Guys.
