Mediktor secured a €3 million funding round to enter the US market

Mediktor, a Barcelona, Spain-based health check provider via a digital service, raised a €3 million ($3.5M) in Series A funding.

The round was led by Alta Life Sciences Spain I FCR, with participation from Castel Capital, Naos, as well as other minority partners. The company intends to use the funds to advance the commercialization of its Artificial Intelligence application in the North American market, to reinforce and improve the platform both technically and scientifically.

Mediktor, founded in 2011 by Òscar Garcia-Esquirol and Cristian Pascual, launched in 2014 a solution for symptom checker for pre-diagnosis, triage and decision-making support. The tool is based on a database with more than 750 classified diseases - users answer 14 questions and is provided with a list of 10 possibilities used to detect if the patient being referred must go to the hospital.

Mediktor has already performed 2 million symptom evaluations in more than 200 countries globally developing an intuition comparable to a full life experience of 10 physicians.
