Meetoptics to raise €1 million in angel investment

Meetoptics, a Barcelona, Spain-based startup building a discoverable platform for photonics technologies, announced completing a €1 million ($1.1M) financing round.

The money was raised from multiple angel investors, including Hansi Hansmann, Matt Robinson, Josep Maria Tarragó, Oriol Ribas, David Ribas, Marina Planas, WA4STEAM and BeckIngridients.

Meetoptics, founded in 2019 by James Douglas and Barbara Buades, is building a specialized photonics search hub that enables researchers and engineers to find and compare products and technologies from trusted suppliers in minutes instead of weeks. The tool enables the direct access to photonics service providers as well.
