Mercury Steam secures more funding from Nordisk Film
Mercury Steam, a Madrid, Spain-based gaming studio, announced that its investors, the Danish media company Nordisk Film, increased the capital in the company.
The deal sees the Danish control 40% of the equity in Mercury Steam. Nordisk Film is part of Egmont Group.
MercurySteam, founded in 2002 by Enric Alvarez and José Ignacio Navas, is multi-award winning independent game developer based in Madrid, Spain. The studio is best known for successfully rebooting the Castlevania series for Konami which to date has shipped multiple millions of copies worldwide, garnered several industry awards and delivered the best selling game in the series for the Japanese Corporation.
