Monocl, the Swedish SAAS healthtech company, raises SEK 5M, looks for US expansion.

Monocl, a Gothenburg,Sweden-based life sciences consulting and SAAS company, raised SEK 5M ($560k) from undisclosed investors. The money will be used for further business development of the company's services on the US East Coast.

Monocl was founded in 2011, is based in Gothenburg and led by CEO and co-founder Björn Carlsson. The company provides Life Science strategy consulting and intelligence analytics group, as well as a software solution, Moncl EGO, a cloud-based analytics platform specifically designed to help Life Science professionals to sell smarter and build stronger commercial relationships.

Prior to this, the company has raised about $1.6M in 2 rounds of investments, from investors including Vinnova and Almi. Monocl has about 100 customers, such as Pfizer or Novartis, and expects SEK 10M ($1.12M) in sales for 2016.
