Neo4j raised $80M in series E funding.

Neo4j, a Malmö, Sweden-based company, leader in graph databases, announced that it has completed financing totalling $80M in a series E round.

The funding round was led by One Peak Partners and Morgan Stanley Expansion Capital and also includes backing from existing investors Creandum, Eight Roads and Green Bridge Partners.

The capital enables Neo4j to increase investment in the company's flagship product: a graph platform that supports applications such as artificial intelligence (AI) systems and machine learning (ML).

Neo4j, founded in 2007 by CEO Emil Eifrém, is the most widely used graph database. The company launched version 1.0 of its open source graph database in 2010 and now is available in over 75% of the companies on the Fortune 100 list, including Volvo, AstraZeneca, eBay , UBS , Walmart, Adobe and Orange.

Prior to this round, Neo4j raised a total of $80M in venture capital.
