Finnish start-up Noccela Oy has raised 1.2 million euros through a directed share issue.

The aim of this share issue was raising funds for export, which will be launched in the first quarter of 2017. An additional public funding will be added.

89% of the funds raised through the share issue come from Dutch investors and 11% from investors in Finland. Investors who have previously funded the company took part in the share issue.

Noccela is based in Turku and is led by CEO Juuso Anteroinen. The company provides a loss-prevention solution to protect the shop’s property and prevent shoplifting. Each alarm is connected to the cloud and identifies all different techniques used by shoplifters. The accurate indoor positioning developed by Noccela allows the alarm to know its position within the shop.
