Nordic Camping & Resort acquires First Camp for $36.7M

Nordic Camping, a Stockholm, Sweden-based camping site operator, announced entering into an agreement to purchase First Camp.

The deal was made with the listed real estate investor CLS Holding for £28.7M ($36.7M).

With the transaction, a new Nordic camping site group is created, with 40 attractive destinations across Sweden and Denmark. The combined group is growing rapidly and is approaching approx. SEK 400 million in revenues, with some 700 employees and 2.5 million guest nights annually.

First Camp Sverige Holding AB, led by CEO Unni Åström, is an operator of 14 camping sites in Sweden and Denmark.

Nordic Camping & Resort, founded in 2002 and led by CEO Johan Söör, has grown to become Scandinavia’s leading camping site operator, renting or owning and operating 15 camping sites across Sweden. The camping sites offer a range of accommodation options for its guests including pitches for caravans, RVs (Recreational Vehicles), mobile homes and tents and lodges. The sites typically also offer a range of ancillary services such as boat and bike rentals, pools, saunas and convenience stores.
