Nuuka closes a EUR 600k financing round and selects Mikko Valtonen as the new CEO.

Nuuka, a Finland-based, big data analytics management solution provider, announced raising an equity investment round totalling EUR 600k ($644k). The backers include its existing investor, Cleantech Invest, as well as other external investors, including Zhejiang ZhongRui Low Carbon Technology Co. from China.

The Chinese are a well known energy efficiency company and had started working with Nuuka prior to this investment, in November 2016, when the Finns entered the Asian market.

The funding will be used to further accelerate the growth of Nuuka both in the Nordics and globally in selected markets.

Added to this equity round the Finnish Technology Agency Tekes will also provide a grant of 100,000EUR for investments in China.

At the same time Mikko Valtonen joins the company as CEO. Former CEO and founder Mikko Maja will continue with the company in the roles of VP of Technology and COO.
