omocom to raise €4.5 million from Alma Mundi Ventures and Lightbird.

Omocom, a Stockholm, Sweden-based provider of on-demand microinsurance services, raised €4.5 million ($5.3M).

The money was raised from investors including existing shareholders from Mundi Ventures, joined by Swiss VCs from Lightbird Ventures.

Omocom, founded in 2017 as Intakt Insurance and later renamed Sharin by Emanuel Badehi Kullander, Ola Lowden Landström (CEO) and Tobias Mård, built and sells an insurance product based on proprietary algorithms that calculate real-time risk assessments from digital platforms. The company has around 25 employees spread out in the Nordic countries, Spain, Portugal and Germany and is bleeding money, with SEK 22 million ($2.6M) in losses at a SEK 1.1 million ($130k) turnover for 2020.

Omocom previously raised $4 million in a round co-led by Inventure and Mustard Seed Maze in 2020.
