Oura raises a new capital funding round.
Oura, an Oulu, Finland-based health startup operating a business based on a wellness-tracking ring and app, announced that it raised a new equity funding round of an undisclosed amount.
The name of the backers was not disclosed and the company says deal was made at a $2.55 billion valuation.
Oura, founded in 2013 by Kari Kivelä and Petteri Lahtela and led by CEO Harpreet Singh Rai, developed a business based on a smart ring and app delivering insights to inform sleep and health habits, giving users daily feedback to improve their health and to better understand their bodies. The company says it sold 1 million rings to date.
Oura previously raised $100 million series C back in 2021 and $28 million $28 million Series B funding in 2020. Investors include The Chernin Group and Elysian Park (the Dodgers’ investment arm), Temasek, JAZZ Venture Partners, Eisai, Forerunner Ventures, Square, MSD Capital, Marc Benioff, Lifeline Ventures, Metaplanet Holdings and Next Ventures.
