Pento raised $15.6 million in a Series A round led by General Catalyst.
Pento, a Copenhagen, Denmark-based SAAS developer of payroll solutions, announced completing a $15.6 million capital funding round.
The money was raised from investors led by the American VC General Catalyst, joined by Avid Ventures, LocalGlobe, Point Nine Capital, Moonfire Ventures, Hustle Fund, and Seedcamp as well as by angel investors Timothy Thairu, Diede van Lamoen, Alex Bouaziz, Tom Blomfield, Matt Robinson, Eric Yuan, Freddy Macnamara, Des Traynor, Daniel Graf (Uber, Twitter, Google), Mike Vaughan (Venmo), Kieran Flanagan (HubSpot), Eynat Guez (Papaya Global), Susan Sobbott (American Express), Nitesh Banta (B12), Job van der Voort (Remote.com), Tony Jamous (OysterHR).
Pento, founded in 2016 by Jonas Bøgh Larsen (CEO) and Emil Hagbarth (CTO), provides a software as a service solution for small companies interested in a better management of their payroll. The company says it serves 700 customers, including Pleo, Cuvva, Honest Burgers, Lacoste, and Beauty Pie.
Pento previously raised $2.8 million from Point Nine Capital and Seedcamp in 2019 and was pre-seeded in 2017.
