ReSpo.Vision to raise a €1 million seed round led by ffVC Tech & Gaming, with participation from RKKVC.
ReSpo.Vision, a Warsawa, Poland-based developer of sports SAAS, announced raising a €1 million ($1.2M) seed round.
The money was raised from investors led by ffVC Tech & Gaming, with participation from RKKVC.
The funds from the round will allow the company to extend the use of technology from football to other areas of the sports business.
ReSpo.Vision, founded in 2020 by Lukasz Grad, Mateusz Szala, Pawel Osterreicher (CEO) and Wojciech Rosinski, has developed a software tool used for automatically recognizing players during a football game. The algorithm reads the three-dimensional coordinates of 20 body parts of each player and the ball 60 times per second. In a further step, this data is used for sports analytics and evaluation of players' performances as well as for visualizing and calculating the probabilities of individual events and game sequences in the future - which can be especially valuable for the bookmaking industry.
The technology has been tested, among others, by Paris Saint-Germain FC, which in the near future plans to use it more widely in their training and selection processes.
