Return Entertainment raised €5.3 million in funding from BITKRAFT Ventures, Sisu Game Ventures et al.
Return Entertainment, a Helsinki, Finland-based software startup building an-easy-to-deploy gaming platform for other developers, announced completing a €5.3 million ($6M) capital funding round.
The money was raised from investors led by the German VC and existing shareholder BITKRAFT Ventures, joined by Sisu Game Ventures, Vgames, 1Up Fund, and SMOK Ventures.
Return Entertainment, founded in 2019 by CEO Antti Sartanen, Tuomas Paavola and Toni Hollming, developed a software framework that makes it easy to develop console-quality games that are playable across devices and easier to join than a video call. The company intends to use it for deploying their own titles, and says it has two games in the works, that are designed from the ground up out the platform.
Return Entertainment was previously pre-seeded by BITKRAFT Ventures in 2021.
