Shopit completed a $740k investment round from Softhouse and Almi Invest.

Shopit, a Växjö, Sweden-based developer of a shopping search engine, announced that it completed a SEK 6.7M ($740k) capital investment round.

The money was provided by Swedish investors, including Softhouse and Almi Invest, and will be used for the final development and launch of the service.

Shopit, founded in 2012 by CEO Mathias Axlén, has developed a platform that automatically collects data on products, stores and brands online all over the world. The company plans to launch a first version of the service in 2019, with Sweden as a pilot market.

Prior to this deal, Shopit added capital funding from local angel investors, including Peter Carlsson.
