tripAbrood secures £645K from a range of angel investors.

tripAbrood, a London, UK-based software developer for e-commerce travel business, announced the completion of a £645K ($895k) capital funding round.

The money was raised from a range of angel investors including Ben Davey, the former CEO of Barclays Ventures, Vic Walia, former Global Vice President Brand Marketing for Expedia Group; Charles Petruccelli, former President of Global Travel Services at American Express ; Andy Mullinger and James Meekings, co-founders of Funding Circle; Will Keith, former VC and head of sales and Origination at PrimaryBid and Michel Taride, former Group President of Hertz International.

Charles Petruccelli and Will Keith will join the tripAbrood board.

tripAbrood, founded in 2019 by Alexa-Maria Rathbone Barker (formerly European Head of Analytics for Bloomberg) and Ketan Anand (formerly Engineering Lead at Lloyds Banking Group), developed a software tool that acts as a travel assistant for families, helping discover and book holidays. The product is yet to be launched publicly.
