Truelayer raised $35 million Series C funding led by Tencent and Temasek, with participation from Northzone and Anthemis.

TrueLayer, a London, UK-based SAAS developer of financial APIs, announced the completion of series C capital funding round of $35 million.

The money was raised from investors led by Tencent and Temasek, with participation from Northzone, Connect Ventures and Anthemis. Proceeds will be used for European and global expansion.

TrueLayer, founded in 2016 by Luca Martinetti and CEO Francesco Simoneschi, is a software developer offering universal APIs that allow companies to capitalize on new Open Banking initiatives in the UK, and the broader, European wide PSD2 rules by securely and efficiently accessing their customers’ bank accounts to share financial data, make payments and validate their identity. Using it, developers can meet security requirements, comply with their regulatory obligations, and gain access to data and payments, focusing their resources on developing innovative products and services.
