Unloc announced a $560k strategic investment from Obos.

Unloc, an Oslo, Norway-based company operating a mobile application that makes it easy to share physical keys, announced in a press release a strategic investment totalling NOK 5M ($600k) from Obos.

The money was provided under the form of a convertible note. The deal is part of a larger partnership agreement ainvolving an extensive project that will provide 100 housing units and co-own digital keys provided by Unloc. In the long term, the plan is that all housing companies affiliated with OBOS will be offered digital keys.

Unloc, founded in 2017 as a spinoff from Telenor and led by CEO Kris Riise, developed a mobile app for customers willing to share keys and is used by corporate clients from verticals such as food delivery, home sharing, or logistics. Unloc currently has 1,000 weekly active users, and the number of shared keys via the app is close to 33,000 .

Unloc is funded by investors including Arkwright X, Langebru AS, Simula Innovation AS and Urbanium Gruppen AS.
