Versor, an Oslo, Norway-based software developer for autonomous drone robotics, secured NOK 2.4M ($300k) in capital investment.

The backing was provided by a range of Nordic early stage investors, including The Nordic Web Ventures, Trond Riiber Knudsen, Bakken & Bæck Invest and Helge Rasmussen.

The investment round was made shortly after Versor joined the Techstars Energy 2018 accelerator program from Oslo - Techstars also was part of the investors list. The company was the first and only Norwegian company to have been selected by Techstars in its program.

Versor, founded in 2016 by Christer Mathiesen, Erlend Sierra (CEO) and Eirik Worren Legernæs, is an autonomous robotics startup developing onboard software necessary for true autonomous drone flight both indoors and outdoors, enabling end-to-end automation of industrial drone inspections.
