Volava announced raising €2 million in a round led by Inveready, JME Ventures and Wayra.
Volava, a Barcelona, Spain-based company building a business based on a digital fitness platform, announced that it completed a €2 million ($2.4M) capital funding round.
The money was raised from investors from Spain, including Inveready, JME Ventures and Wayra, and will be used to expand the company's operations.
Volava, founded in 2017 by Joel Balagué, is a technology company that mixes the physical with the digital world to create a unique, immersive and connected fitness experience. The company makes money from selling live online classes and on demand training videos, all of the providing an experience integrated by high-performance cycling, running and boxing sports teams (the hardware), together with quality content (the software).
Volava previously raised about $1.7 million, half in March 2020 and the other half in November 2019.
