Watty, a Stockholm, Sweden-based company providing a smart-metering software for energy, was acquired by the German company Discovergy.
The deal, which has the financial details not disclosed, was made for the entire ownership in the company.
Watty, founded in 2013 by Hjalmar Nilsonne, developed a hardware and software combo aimed to help consumers measure and control their energy consumption.
The company was backed by risk capital, having raised $4.7M in venture funding from investors including EQT Ventures. In the summer of 2018, EQT Ventures sold back its equity share to the company's employees.
