ZetaDisplay purchases Seasam, the second largest supplier of digital signage from Finland.
ZetaDisplay, a Malmö, Sweden-based company providing digital signage announced the acquisition of Seasam Oy, the second largest supplier of digital signage from Finland.
The transaction involves the purchase of 100% of Seasam's shares at a fixed price of SEK 43.9M ($5M)
The acquisition of Seasam is part of ZetaDisplay growth strategy, further strengthening its position on the Finnish market, where it has had a presence for some time and where it carried out a successful acquisition of Marketmedia in 2015.
ZetaDisplay, founded in 2003 by Mats Johansson, Martin Gullberg and Mikael Öberg and led by CEO Leif Liljebrunn, provides digital signage services to large retail chains and the service industry on the European market. ZetaDisplay's headquarters are located in Sweden with sales offices located in Denmark, Norway, Finland, Estonia and the Netherlands. Since April 2011, its shares have been traded on NASDAQ First North Premier
Seasam is Finland's second largest supplier of Digital Signage with many years of experience in the industry and some twenty employees. Seasam's customer base includes K-citymarket, Kotipizza, Burger King, Picnic, Neste, O'Learys, and Helmi Savings Bank, among others. In 2016, Seasam reported sales of approximately SEK 33.8M ($3.9M) with an EBITDA of SEK 4.4M and total assets of SEK 23.6M.
