Babyshop raises SEK 151M in fresh outside capital

Babyshop, a Jönköping, Sweden-based retailer of baby products, raised SEK 151M ($17.4M) in a new investment round.

The money comes from the existing investors, including Verdane Capital, and was partly used for acquiring Lekmer from Qliro for SEK 90M in spring 2017.

The investment transaction was made at a SEK 1BN ($115M) post-money valuation and the company has revenues of SEK 1.2BN yoy.

Babyshop, founded in 2006 by wife and husband Linn and Marcus Tagesson, has developed an ecommerce platform selling baby & children's clothing across Europe.
