Babyshop, a Jönköping, Sweden-based fashion retailer of baby & children's clothing, secured SEK 165M ($18.4M) in a fresh investment round.

The money was provided by new and existing investors, including Beijer Ventures and angel investor Svante Elfving, through his company Gaffe Holding. The funding will be used to further support the expansion of the business, including a larger warehouse and logisitics automation.

Babyshop, founded in 2006 by wife and husband Linn and Marcus Tagesson, has developed an ecommerce platform selling baby & children's clothing across Europe. The company had sales of SEK 835M ($92M) in 2017.

Prior to this deal, Babyshop secured more than $30M in capital funding. In 2017 it paid $10M for the acquisition of Lekmer AB, one of the largest online stores for toys and products for children in the Nordics.
