Betterbooqr raised $450k, wants to expand in Asia
Betterbooqr, a Copenhagen, Denmark-based flash sales aggregator for the travel industry, announced in a press release closing in a DKK 3M ($450k) capital investment round.
The funding was provided by Danish angel investors including Magnus Kjøller, Christopher Roelann and Özkan Ego, and money will be used to develop a better product and start becoming available in China and the rest of the Asian markets. Following the deal, Betterbooqr board of directors will include Özkan Ego, Bjørn Sibbern and Thomas Kryger.
Betterbooqr, founded in 2013 and led by CEO Nikolaj Munch, has sales partners in 21 markets and represents hotels in more than 35 countries. According to the company, it has travel sales for DKK 800k ($120k) a week and expects to sell over 75,000 rooms in 2019.
Betterbooqr is headquartered in Copenhagen and has a subsidiary in Germany.
